Overcome

• When I leave the house I feel
• the morning breeze against my face
• and think it is you
• and altho I go among men
• of cement and cigarette
• your face comes across my eyes
• to shadow me among meadows and woods
• I pity those who deny
• what they will not feel
• and who will not see
• the blossoms in the spring.
