Give Chance a Piece

It wasn’t your distance that disturbed me It was my defense the speed with which I bridged my desire with a laugh. It’s a truce Don’t call out the national guard there’s no war going on I ain’t been hurt I’ve been confused with what I ain’t been touched with the absence still pains me now when I’m alone and in this frenzy asking questions I wouldn’t ask if I could answer. But don’t worry it wasn’t your decision that unsettled me for I saw it too, in a glimpse and it was too late it was the way things happened you were right You knew I didn’t want to leave you but it was what you did, who said goodnight.
