Looking out over College Avenue in Berkeley I'm eating a salmon burrito in La Cascada wondering what that asphalt paves over as a Mexican man parks his blue Nissan pickup with his wife and young daughter in the back seat Somehow I think I can write a poem that leaves in all my false starts and shows my insertions and deletions. The theater across the street advertises "The Reader" and "Gamorrah" beside the used clothing shop. Real life provides enough insertions and deletions.
