Everyone doesn’t assume communication is possible. We cannot communicate even with whales or dolphins. In our fantasies, aliens speak to us in English or let us read their thoughts, which we understand in English. Why should we think that we should be so lucky to hear an alien say, “Klaatu barada nikto”? What if they have no ears? No mouths and no reason to care about us any more than we care about worms?
