Remipedes are crustaceans found in all the oceans and as fossils of the Pennsylvanian three hundred million years ago. Closely related to insects, they have no eyes but a good sense of smell, fangs like spiders that inject venom and digestive enzymes, a head, and thirty-two similar segments, each segment with a pair of biramous appendages for swimming through time.
