Spiders have two kinds of camera-like eyes with lenses and focal adjustments, two or four principal eyes at the front of the head and up to six secondary eyes at the front, sides, or top of the head. The smaller secondary eyes detect motion and work well in low light. The larger principal eyes pick out detail and may even see in color.
