Ignorance

We have amulets, talismans, objects of ritual and symbolic significance, although the ritual has not been preserved, and what the objects are symbolic of, exactly, we can only guess. This is the cruelty of cultural suppression, extermination of a people, intended or unintended. Our ignorance should haunt us.
