Little man on my visor

A little ivory man sits on my visor; maybe he can see against the glare. We are out at sea in my kayak. We are gazing across the waves for any animal that breathes air. Sea otter kayak, flipper paddle, bentwood visor painted in waves, bird feathers flying in the wind. Maybe the little ivory man has enough power to tell me which direction I should paddle.
