All I remember about the television show “The Everglades” is the airboat sweeping through sawgrass with the wind in the pilot’s hair. A propeller would easily fowl in the sedges but, with its big fan and shallow draft, the airboat, fanboat, swamp boat, or aliwang skims easily over marshes and shallow waters.
