Fishing boat

The smell and slime of fish, silver scales shining on gunwales, dirty nylon ropes coiled and strung up under a cold sun, over green water. This sturdy craft and its load, tossed by jagged waves, aluminum, fiberglass, and paint, is lighter than water and heavier than air. Tossed in it, men sweat in boots and aprons while the fish they catch can neither blink nor speak.
