Beneficial mosquitoes

Our mosquitoes are well trained, genetically, so their broods behave just as they do, but there’s not much else that they can do except for sucking blood, so we made them so their bites don’t itch, also so they bring their little blood packets to our sampling stations and deposit just a drop, which our tests determine, A, what animal donated the blood, B, whether the animal is afflicted with anything harmful or that could spread to humans, including the malaria parasite, in which case we trap the bug and don’t let it spread anything, and we try to find the donor so that we can isolate and cure it. The next step will be to modify their saliva so that instead of making you itch it contains a vaccine that helps protect the blood donor from known viruses and other parasites.
