He imagined what he would build

Agni was a bricklayer and he always had work. His uncle hired people to make the clay bricks. The clay came from the beds of canals that were being dug. Water and clay were elements of wealth and power, although you also needed to control the priests and the architects. Agni had no wealth or power but he was always dreaming. He dreamed of palaces and viaducts, made with clay bricks. His palace plans grew larger and more intricate as the years went on until their heights exceeded what was possible with mere bricks.
