昆明池水汉时功，武帝旌旗在眼中。织女机丝虚夜月，石鲸鳞甲动秋风。波漂菰米沉云黑，露冷莲房坠粉红。关塞极天惟鸟道，江湖满地一渔翁。

Autumn (VII) (literal translation of Du Fu’s poem)

The water of Kunming Lake is the work of the Han Dynasty, and the banner of Emperor Wu is in sight. The weaving girl’s loom is empty in the night moon, and the scales of the stone whale are moving in the autumn wind. The waves float the rice and the clouds are dark, and the dew is cold and the lotus petals are pink. The pass is closed to the sky and only the bird path is seen, and the rivers and lakes are full of fishermen.
