Beginnings by Tom Sharp

The gourd vine has died back; it’s time to remove the trellis that I tied it to. White blooms grew into gourds; now its leaves are no longer green. Insects of autumn are chirping and sparrows have left their nests. Life has its beginnings in the season of endings.
