Cloudy Again (literal translation of Du Fu’s poem)

The winter is coming, the dark clouds are blocking the sky. Yesterday was sunny and today is dark. The flying dandelions are reflected in the sky for thousands of miles, and the feathers of the trees in the lonely city are fluttering in the wind. The river waves are shaking the shore and the yellow sand is moving. The clouds and snow are covering the mountains and the blue water beast Cang Si is roaring. Have you not seen the old man Duling from the country of Kuizi, who has half of his teeth lost and is deaf in his left ear.
