I’m sick and you’re growing up; happy birthday, my little Jizi, Du Zongwu. I’ve always been proud of you and have praised you many times in poems. Sons learn what to love from their fathers so I want you to study literature, not fashion. I sip slowly at the feast of the agéd, and raise my cup to your happiness.
