Perspective by Tom Sharp

Above the rolling river, vast hills would be challenging to cross. We float slowly downstream, ample time to take in the view. Steep rocks covered in maple trees are partly hidden by the clouds. I’m no longer young and strong but the sun is shining on me. I feel sure that I can find a home; this will be where my worries will end. The country is full of war and evil; deadly weapons are on both sides. There’s no easy way out. Even good masters will be shamed. Meanwhile, this is a beautiful place. I can forget the war for a while.
