On the river in autumn by Tom Sharp

Traveling on the river, the autumn seems especially cold and wet. Leaves fly swiftly but the night lasts forever as the wind cuts through my coat. There’s nothing to reassure me except for myself in the mirror. The times are troubling and I’m just trying to do what’s right.
