江上日多雨，萧萧荆楚秋。 高风下木叶，永夜揽貂裘。 勋业频看镜，行藏独倚楼。 时危思报主，衰谢不能休。

On the River (literal translation of Du Fu’s poem)

On the river, it rains a lot, and the autumn is bleak. The wind blows down the leaves, and the night is long with the mink coat. I often look in the mirror for my achievements, and I hide alone and lean on the railing. When times are critical, I think of repaying you, my master, and I cannot rest even when I am old.
