Spring Stay in Zuosheng (literal translation of Du Fu’s poem)

The flowers hide behind the palace walls at dusk, and the chirping birds fly by. The stars are moving over every house, and the moon is close to the sky. I can’t sleep listening to the golden keys, and thinking of the jade bells because of the wind. I have a secret message tomorrow, and I will ask you how the night went.
