苏大侍御涣，静者也，旅于江侧，凡是不交州府之客，人事都绝久矣。肩舆江浦，忽访老夫舟楫，已而茶酒内，余请诵近诗，肯吟数首，才力素壮，辞句动人。接对明月日，忆其涌思雷出，书箧几杖之外殷殷留金石声，赋八韵记异，亦见老夫倾倒于苏至矣。庞公不浪出，苏氏今有之。再闻诵新作，突过黄初诗。乾坤几反覆，扬马宜同时。今晨清镜中，胜食斋房芝。余发喜却变，白间生黑丝。昨夜舟火灭，湘娥帘外悲。百灵未敢散，风破寒江迟。

Su Da Shiyu visits Jiangpu and writes eight rhymes to record the strangeness (literal translation of Du Fu’s poem)

When we talked about the bright moon and the day, I recalled his thoughts. The sound of metal and stone was left outside the bookcase and the stick. He wrote eight rhymes to record the strangeness. It also shows that he is infatuated with Su Shi. Pang Gong does not go out for nothing, Su Shi has it now. I hear his new work again, which is better than Huang Chu’s poem. Qian Kun is almost reversed, Yang Ma should be at the same time. This morning, in the mirror, it is better than eating vegetarian food. My hair is happy but changed, black silk appears between white. Last night, the boat fire went out, Xiang’e was sad outside the curtain. The lark dared not to disperse, the wind broke the cold river slowly.
