A visitor arrives by Tom Sharp

Thank you, Uncle, for coming to visit. My place is just a hut with a thatched roof but we have fresh spring water and in the yard are flocks of birds. There’s not much to eat and the nearest market is far away and poorly stocked. I can offer you only cheap wine, but I’ll ask my neighbor to join us to help to finish the bottle.

客至 by 杜甫 (Du Fu)
