Climbing Yueyang Tower (literal translation of Du Fu’s poem)

I heard about Dongting Lake in the past, and now I am climbing Yueyang Tower. Wu and Chu are separated in the southeast, and the world is floating day and night. No word from friends and relatives, only a lonely boat for old age and illness. I am in the north of the mountains and rivers, and I am crying while leaning on the railing.
