The fishing boats of Byblos were beautiful because they had a fitness of purpose and were built to persist. The stones below the castle were all jumbled; many layers of history had fallen into their graves. Wael was a retired fisherman who loved to walk along the shore between the rocky cliffs and the sun-glint waters.
