Love gets a woman no respect. A man’s family must pay a lot for a good woman; they must pay highly for a woman who will never disappoint them. She had better demand what she’s worth. She must demand more than love; love is worth less than a quiver. Why shouldn’t her children belong to her husband’s family, when they have paid her bride price? Why shouldn’t they be proud of her?
