Imbalance

Mother Nature has vertigo. Out of balance, she falters. In her kitchen, she forgets what she came in for. Mother Nature loosens her collar; it’s gotten a little too hot. She would like to move north but she won’t abandon her southern wards. Mother Nature’s eyes water from nitric oxide and hydrocarbons in the air. Acid rain? Those are her tears. Everything’s a little wacky. Too little time between hurricanes. Too much snow, not much snow. Glaciers and sea ice melting. Mother Nature’s short of breath. Her heart races. She’s old, very old, but she’s a goddess, so she’s supposed to be immortal.
