Over time, many small observations led Evelyn to the conclusion that a creature from Enceladus inhabited her body. The creature was, obviously, kind and gifted, never a threat to the childlike human that Evelyn used to be. Evelyn looked human, and she tried to act human (like all the other women she knew), but in a way, she knew, she was more alien than human.
