Frank Lloyd Wright, 1959 Climbing the rotunda, it wasn’t, for me, the paintings that kept my attention. Wright wanted visitors to take the elevator and enjoy the art on their way down. The concrete spiral, wide enough to drive a truck, had less art than architecture.
