Vindicative (Vindictive)

I sat down to rest in a modern cement fortress of learning. and learned (to my surprise) that nature had pried into that fortress. (Its structural defenses were made to shield man from man.) And ants were living where I sat. I left and carried an ant with me. I didn’t know. I would have put it back. I found it later as it was climbing, diligently, all over me, and I didn’t need an ant, and I knew that ants aren’t noted for self-sufficiency. It would most likely have died anyway.
