Love Gift

The body was a love gift for the warm one who couldn’t give I, tried, could only love the gift. My naked love on barren rocks and sand, smoothing the ruffled feathers of, the way the feathers of the wing fit, how beautiful the neck of, lifting it to let it deaden limp, there kissing the rotting wound of, poetry. My lover ocean drowned.
