Witches and warlocks don’t eat bugs; they don’t need to be out after midnight, flying with the bats. They could use their brooms for fetching kites and kittens out of trees, but we hardly ever hear of them doing this or rescuing people from burning buildings. The levitating power of the broom is more of a folk tale and a literary device than a real thing. There are obviously more reliable ways to get high.
