Since we didn’t get it right the first time, the messenger will need to return. Heaven on Earth is far from us today, so we pray that we approach it more closely. Heaven isn’t a place that the messenger invites us to enter; it doesn’t depend solely on the presence. If we get close enough, the messenger will tell us how much further we’ll need to go.
