People for the Propagation of Peace

Śāntira pracārēra jan'ya janagaṇa is a world-wide organization, based in Durgapur, West Bengal, in eastern India, yada yada yada. You know the schpiel. The movement arose out of a massacre of Bengali people during British rule. Its founder, Sambhabata Rām̌̇ci Durbala, realized that the only path for his people was peace, and that people would need to propagate this peace. Śāntira is both a philosophy and a lifestyle.
