Caṇḍa Ānanda said, “I save seeds after each harvest and plant them for the next season. Some say these are my seeds, and it’s my field that I plant them in, but it’s not my water nor my sunlight. It’s also not my miracle that new life grows from seeds. ” Caṇḍa Ānanda also said, “I didn’t make the first seed. I didn’t make the field.” Caṇḍa Ānanda also said, “We couldn’t go anywhere if we hadn’t come from somewhere.” Caṇḍa Ānanda also said, “A worm, a bird, a breeze, water flowing in a ditch— where do they begin, and where do they end?”
