Strangers

Caṇḍa Ānanda said, “I haven’t met a stranger whom I could tell was an angel in disguise. They seem a lot like me, neither pure nor entirely debauched. Being a fellow creature here on earth should be a sufficient reason to treat a stranger with kindness.”
