Pareidolia isn’t so bad. Like the man on the moon, the old man snoring in a raincloud isn’t so bad. Clocks have faces that tell us something. Animals have faces that convey threats or joys. Faces look out at us from rocks and trees. Faces appear in clouds and in dreams. Things needs to have faces as much as they need to make sense. When a baby first opens its eyes we hope it sees a face that smiles at it.
