长安布衣谁比数，反锁衡门守环堵。 老夫不出长蓬蒿，稚子无忧走风雨。 雨声飕飕催早寒，胡雁翅湿高飞难。 秋来未曾见白日，泥污后土何时干。

Lamenting Autumn Rain (III) (literal translation)

Who can compare with the common people in Chang’an, who lock their gates and guard the gates. The old man does not leave the long weeds, and the young children walk in the wind and rain without worries. The sound of rain is whistling, bringing the early cold, and the wild geese have wet wings and can hardly fly high. I have not seen the sun since autumn, when will the muddy earth dry up.
