Audrey Hepburn was born in Brussels and her mother was a baroness. Audrey’s first starring role was playing Princess Ann. Of course she could assume the role, but what makes her a natural is that she could make us believe she would rather be a commoner and marry a reporter.
Both Joe and Ann are lying but the Mouth of Truth doesn’t bite off their hands. Maybe they are saved by an element of truth that tempts them dearly.
A human interest story, an exclusive interview with the princess, might have turned profitable, except for the human element that brings out the nobility of the American reporter.
