These monologues were inspired by poems in my book titled Tales. Characters introduced in or implied by the tales speak to us.
This book alternates between a poem from Tales and a monologues spoken by a character in the poem. If it were published in a book, they would be on facing pages, the poem on the left, the monologue starting on the right.
My cover illustration is my drawing based on an overhead drone photo of a Maryland suburb.
