আষাঢ় (Ashaŗh)

The third month of the Bengali calendar is the first of two months of the monsoon season. It’s named for the constellation উত্তরাষাঢ়া (Uttôrashaŗha) meaning “latter victory” or “latter unconquered.” It corresponds to Āṣāḍha in the Nepali calendar.
