The fourth month of the Bengali calendar is the second and last month of the monsoon season. It’s named after the star শ্রবণা (Shrôbôna) alluding to Shravan, a mythological character devoted to his aged and blind parents. It corresponds to Śrāvaṇa in the Nepali calendar.
