Behind my humble wooden door, I don’t have to admire the emperor or have only diplomatic thoughts. Even a poor man who lives by the river, can have any fish that swims into his net. You can tell me to love only women from Qi, but, behind my wooden door, I love whomever I love.
衡门之下,可以栖迟。 泌之洋洋,可以乐饥。 岂其食鱼,必河之鲂。 岂其取妻,必齐之姜。 岂其食鱼,必河之鲤。 岂其取妻,必宋之子。
