Incapacitation powders

For many years the U.S. Marines have experimented with incapacitation powders. These are sprayable materials that render inoperable any engine or other mechanical device such as a gun. NASA has investigated whether these powders could be deployed by satellite over North Korea. The results, of course, are top secret, but it’s suspected that any mechanical device for deploying an incapacitation powder is affected by the powder they try to deploy. The trouble that the marines have had, “friendly incapacitation,” is similar. Since the powders are readily taken up by even a slight breeze they tend to incapacitate their own forces.
