Stanley Price of Paducah, Kentucky, claims to have forgotten more words than anyone else in the world. Stanley had been a linguist, with a PhD from Bowling Green, and has studied Greek, Latin, Bulgarian, and Sanskrit, but today he speaks with only a third-grade vocabulary. “I used to read scholarly articles on Eastern-European languages, but all I read now is People magazine.” Stanley’s physician says that he isn’t suffering any form of dementia. He’s just extremely forgetful.
