Mutants

Most human mutants are not so obvious that they can’t pass as normal. They live among us without anyone noticing. Some recognize their differences and deliberately hide them. Others might think they’re normal. I knew a man who never got a headache even though he drank heavily and had a stressful job. We were drinking together and talking about this one night when he told me he knew of people with stranger abnormalities. One could see ultraviolet. One had a keen sense of smell. One could feel magnetic north. One had two hearts. Another had never caught a cold. Such people might live next door to you or you might work with them, and even if you ask them if they’re mutants in some way they would never tell you.
