Piss ants were named this because they squirt formic acid as a venom from their abdomens. However, for centuries they have been used in the diagnosis of diabetes because the urine of a diabetes patient attracts piss ants. Another, little-known talent of the little piss ant is its ability to diagnose pregnancy. If a woman puts a piss ant on her palm, holds her palm out, and the piss ant walks toward her, then she’s pregnant.
