They wanted me to fix wings on this lion. They didn’t know anything about musculature or about work in bronze. This lion had no bones, just a thin skin. I told them it would cost them. I couldn’t tell them they were crazy. I asked how many days they expected these wings to stay on. In the end I made a mould of the lion with its wings and cast it as a whole.
