I wasn’t too keen on my Latin, but we are called to teach, and it appealed to me that I could help people with whom I grew up. You shouldn’t need to study for years to read the story of Job. Genesis was written in Hebrew, not in Latin. I asked why I couldn’t read it in my own language, but I never got an answer.
