Donkor had a lot of acceptance, but not for priests. Something in his brain got screwed wrong when he was young. He accepted the gods because they made sense, but not the priests who took from people and never gave back. If Donkor were a priest, he wouldn’t hire spies to expose doubters, and he wouldn’t care if anyone questioned his authority, because he knew the gods would protect him.
