Lord Anglesey was effeminate and irresponsible; his dress and behavior were outrageous; and he appeared to love only himself. He married but never slept with his wife, was wealthy but squandered everything he had and more; and he didn’t seem to care what others thought. He died deep in debt, but at least he didn’t succumb to Puritans and prudes.
